Graduation ceremonies were held in Souris for the 34 students graduating as the Class of 2018. The ceremonies were held at the Souris Glenwood Community Complex on June 27. Souris teachers April Popple and Robyn Penner performed the duties of masters of Ceremonies for the event. The invocation was given by Fr. Kelly Wilson and Southwest Horizon Superintendent Carolyn Cory brought greetings from the school division. Belinda West brought geetings on behalf of the school staff. Graduate Rosebelle Perez introduced the guest speaker, Cory Feschuk who spoke to the students regarding their time at Souris Collegiate. Graduate Lisa Gohl gave the reply.

Westoba Credit Union Scholarship of $500 - Presented to the student with the highest mark in Grade 12 Applied Mathematics: Kylie Matiowsky.
Morley Fallis Memorial Bursary of $600 - Donated by the Souris B.P.O Elks to a graduating student entering studies in the field of Education: Kylie Matiowsky.
Student Council Effort Awards. 4 $100-Presented to graduating students who have shown continual effort in their graduating year: Kylie Matiowsky, William Goldrich-McFaul, Daniel Wurtz, Prince Zapanta.
Charles Anderson Trophy - Presented to a graduating student who shows leadership qualities: Prince Zapanta.
Souris & Glenwood Multicultural Association Bursary of $150 - Awarded to a student that has contributed to the community through multi-cultural events: Andrew Ross, Prince Zapanta, Rosebelle Perez.
Jaydon Andrew Donogh Memorial Scholarship of $100 - This award is to applaud the effort of a student to improve their mark in Grade 12 Essential Mathematics: Rosebelle Perez.
The Jordyn Simonson Memorial Scholarship of $250 - Presented to a graduating student who demonstrates Compassion, Empathy, Kindness, and Generosity towards others: Lisa Gohl.
Souris School Spirit Award of a special gift – a school hoodie - given to a student who has made our school a more friendly, more interesting and more exciting place to be, by their participation in many school activities, including extra curricular and student council events: Lisa Gohl.
Louise King Memorial Trophy - presented to the most sportsmanlike player both on and off the playing field: Lisa Gohl.
Irene Oberlin Memorial Award - Presented to a student who excelled in academic and athletic endeavours: Samuel West.
Souris Valley Advisory & Youth Justice Committee Award of $250 - presented to a graduating student furthering their education in the field of law, criminology or human ecology: Samuel West.
Manitoba School Board Association’s Citizenship Merit Award of $100 - This award recognizes volunteer and community involvement, leadership ability and student council participation and activities: Samuel West.
Deanna Johnson Memorial Trophy and Bursary of $200 - Presented to a graduating student who is continuing their education and shows characteristics of warmth, friendliness and leadership qualities both on and off the playing field: Samuel West.
Faith Community Baptist Church Elgin Bursary of $100 - Presented to a graduating student who attends Faith Community Baptist church and is furthering their education at a Bible college: Gabrielle Robbins and Mr Samuel West

Souris and Elgin Marketing Club Scholarship of $500 - Presented to a graduating student furthering their education in Agriculture, Mechanics or a related field: Andrew Ross.
Souris and Glenwood Agricultural Society Bursary of $300 - presented to a graduating student furthering their education in Agriculture, Human Ecology or any other agriculture related program: Andrew Ross.
Paul & Margaret Wright Family Scholarship of $1560 over 2 years - presented to a graduating student who is attending a Manitoba university or college to pursue a business related course of studies, has reasonable academic standing and has been involved in school, community and volunteer services: Andrew Ross.

Jim Stirling Memorial Scholarship of $500 - B. F. Lorenzetti is the insurance provider for Hockey Canada and its branches. One of their objectives is to assist in the funding of young athletes and officials. In an effort to honour the contributions of long serving BFL colleague and friend Jim Stirling who passed away in 2013, BFL Canada has decided to change the name of the BFL Canada Risk and Insurance Scholarship program to the Jim Sterling Scholarship Program donated by BFL Canada: Tori Williams.
Student Council Science Award of $100 - Presented to a graduating student continuing in a science field: Tori Williams.
Phillips Family Bursary of $300 - Presented to a graduating student continuing their education in the field of sports medicine or athletics: Aidan Murphy.
Municipality of Oakland/Wawanesa Scholarship of $500 - Presented to a graduating student who resides in the Municipality of Wawanesa/Oakland and is pursuing post-secondary studies: Chaz Will.
Souris Legion Ladies Auxiliary Bursary of $500 - Presented to a graduating student who is continuing their education in the vocation of their choice: Chaz Will.
Ab and Flo Williamson Memorial Bursary of $800 over 2 years - Presented to a student who has shown strong interest in, and might consider remaining in, the local community. Preferably entering a trade or vocational education: Chaz Will.
Pembina Co-op Journeyman Scholarship of $1000 - Presented to a graduating student planning to enter into a journeyman program for the carpentry, plumbing or electrical trades: Chaz Will.
Greg Kirbyson Memorial Award 2 awards of $1000 - presented to a graduating student furthering their education, with a background or interest in agriculture and a history of being involved in sports: Chaz Will and Samuel West.
Audrey Irene Stratton (nee Wright) Memorial Scholarship 2 awards of $1500
Audrey Irene wright was born and raised in Souris and carried a little piece of her hometown in her heart long after she moved away. She was humble and kind, always willing to help someone in need without judgement. A devoted mother and wife, she raised three children while working to put her husband through medical school. Her legacy is one of determination, quiet strength and above all, compassion for others. She would be honoured to know this scholarship is helping someone achieve their goals through education.

Governor-General’s Bronze Medal
