Senior Elks Breakfast Club provides opportunity for youth

The Souris Senior Elks Hockey Club, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, is a proud support of many community programs including the Souris Minor Hockey Breakfast Club. This Club helps future players develop their skills and love of the game.

The Breakfast Club is a unique opportunity for youth in our community to participate in physical activity, learn new skills, and enjoy a healthy breakfast. Each Wednesday morning, boys and girls of all ages are welcome to attend the hockey-based skills practice and receive a nutritious breakfast to start the day at no cost. This is made possible thanks to sponsorship from the Souris & Glenwood Foundation and the Souris Senior Elks Hockey Club to cover ice rental fees and to David and Lisa Edmunds for providing the meals. Brett Remillard, Brynn Tosh, Garnett Speers, Nick Dornian, Riley Kohut, and Shaylee Scraba volunteer their coaching services to all the youth in attendance. Please come out and join us in the new year when Breakfast Club starts up again on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.
